April Metro Luncheon - Mental Health in the Workplace

When:  Apr 8, 2026 from 11:30 to 13:30 (CT)

Taking care of yourselves and each other – understanding the effects of the stress of being the support for an entire community and ways to help your team manage the stress effectively

This program aims to equip managers with the skills and knowledge required to understand the stress they, and their subordinates, experience in their personal and professional lives. Participants will learn about the physical and emotional warning signs that stress is becoming unmanageable. Participants will also learn about programs that some communities are using to support the employees who support them. By understanding the signs of excessive stress in themselves and others, government leaders will be able to encourage people to seek help and, with healthy staff members, uphold the highest standards of governance.
